I graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Minnesota after spending my final semester studying abroad in Norwich, England.
Two of my three minors, studio art and medieval studies, give you an idea of some of the things that I get excited about. My third minor, technical writing & communication, is the one that got me a job right out of school, and I worked as a writer in the printing industry for a year before landing a job in publishing.
One of my life goals is to develop a career as an editor. I love writing, copy editing, and pretty much anything that goes along with publishing. Check out my freelance copy editing page for more information.
Studying abroad gave me a passion for travel; in the past two years, I’ve been to ten European countries and fit trips to Washington, D.C., Orlando, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City in between.
I started my blog to help answer the questions that I was asking before I went abroad. I think everyone should take the leap and travel; I’ve learned so much about the world and about myself as a result of my international adventures. I hope that my writing can help you do that too.
